You’re at a time in your life where everything feels like it’s changing so quickly.

One day you’re hanging out with friends, and the next, you feel like you’re on the outside looking in. You might be struggling to figure out who you are and what you like while dealing with the pressure to fit in. School feels overwhelming, and you’re constantly worried about how others perceive you.

You’re moving away from home. Balancing classes, social life, and independence can be exhausting, leaving you feeling stressed and isolated. It’s tough when everyone else seems to have it all figured out while you’re trying to find your place. The pressure to succeed and the fear of failure can weigh heavily on you.

You've graduated. You’re faced with the reality of entering the job market, and it can feel overwhelming. You might struggle with self-doubt as you compare yourself to peers who seem to be thriving. The expectations from family and society can feel suffocating, and you’re left wondering if you’re on the right path or if you’re falling behind."

Katharine works with VA clients in person and virtually. Reduced rate fee available as needed.

What would it feel like to be truly heard and understood, without judgment or interruption—how might that change your experience of the challenges you're facing?

My Approach

Hi, I’m Katharine. Are you feeling like now is the right time for therapy? I believe everyone can benefit from it when the timing is right. With experience working with adolescents and young adults in various settings, I understand and appreciate the unique challenges and joys of these stages of life.

Adolescence can be some of the best years, but also some of the toughest. Similarly, young adulthood brings on exciting independence and significant stressors during this transitional period. I specialize in addressing anxiety and non-suicidal self-injury within these populations. Reach out for a brief consultation, and let's discuss how we can work together to meet your needs.

When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with family and friends. Some of my favorite activities include traveling, enjoying delicious gluten-free food, and playing games or trivia!
